Nowhere Boy Two boys arrive in Belgium from very different backgrounds. Ahmed, a refugee from Syria whose father disappears on the journey to Europe, avoids the refugee camp by sneaking into an unused basement of a house to hide out. Max moves to a rental home in Belgium with his Washington DC family because his father accepts a job there. He isn't happy about starting a new school where he doesn't speak the language. Both are nowhere boys until Max discovers Ahmed is living in the basement of his new home. Together they find ways to overcome hardship in two challenging situations.
